The Right With A TV Power Supply

By Brian Snyder

At no point in its history has the human being ever been the biggest, strongest animal. Almost every animal of comparable size has physical prowess that no human being can hope to match. Humankind was able to achieve such feats due to a quirk in the way it evolved. In exchange for the muscular development enjoyed by the other great apes, humanity would get vastly increased cognitive abilities. It was this intellect that allowed humanity to flourish, to notice that a pointy rock made for a good weapon and that attaching said pointy rock to a long stick would make for an even better one. This intellect is what allowed humanity to build cities great and small. But to build those cities required the use of machines and machines are always made up of smaller parts. Of course, component parts are not all that is required. There also has to be a source of energy like a TV Power Supply.

A TV is a device. It has one purpose and that would be to convey visual media. It does create that visual media by itself. It is merely a means by which media can be delivered to a customer base.

The reason that devices need a power source is simple. Because it has no internal means of generating its own energy. Without that energy, they are unable to work at their best, that is if they work at all. So there has to be an outside source to provide that energy.

Now, the act of finding that power source, or at least the vestibule for it, is not going to be all that difficult. Almost every house built after a certain time period will have electrical outlets. Some will be older than others, but with the right cord, it should still work just fine provided the parts are still okay.

Of course, money is going to be something that matters. Now, the power grid needs to be maintained. So the customers have to pay for the service which it provides. Otherwise, it would fall into complete and total disarray. Now, that disarray means that the service is provides becomes unavailable. Of course, not paying the bill also means that the company can decide to just stop providing electricity to the people who are not paying.

Safety should always be a primary concern. As such, metals and liquids, which both conduct electricity, should be kept away from a socket. Doing so should keep things from burning down.

People watch TV because it is entertaining. They can park themselves on the couch, pick up the remote control, and then flip to their desired channel where their favorite program is playing. If not, they can just find something vaguely palatable.

The source should be consistent. No one wants to have their show cut off because the electricity went out. Unfortunately, that consistency cannot be controlled.

Being alive is not always easy. But humanity discovered ways to make it easier. It is just that those innovations need a way to work, to do their thing.
