It takes variable amounts of time for piercings to heal depending on which part of the body is pierced. Most piercings go through without much trouble, but some may result into many problems. For people with heart disease, engaging in piercings increases chances of developing heart infections. It is advisable to seek the advice of a doctor before obtaining piercings if one has allergies, bleeding disorder, pregnancy, skin disorders, diabetes, or problems with immunity.
